The opening scene
-doll/lullaby/made up words suggest what?-small kids

In the opening scene music is used effectively to create an atmosphere. For example, tempo,chords and dynamics make it feel like a creepy Lullaby.Tempo starts slow but gets faster which builds intensity.It is in the minor key which makes it feel sad.This makes   the audience think the film will be mysterious, scary and creepy.

Coraline viewing notes

The music is sung by children.
Pov-the other mother.
The music is slow and creepy.
The backyard colour looks old and dusty.

In the background, all we can see is a dark forest.
We meet the cat and Coraline
Coraline has a yellow coat, blue hair, yellow boots, and everything looks dark.
The lighting starts to get darker.
The music stops.
There is use of lightning.
We meet Wybie for the first time.
The music changes to wonderous music.
We see a dutch tilt angle.
POV-Coraline
The kitchen looks old, empty, grey, dirty.
The room looks dark. full .
The house is over a 150 years old.
We are in another rom and its dark and dull.
We see a dutch tilt two times.
The mom gets annoyed by Coraline.
There is a rat in the room.
Coraline follows the rat.
Coraline goes throught the tunnel and the tunnel is a bright colour.
The music is abit more happy ang good.
The other kitchen is more bright, cleaner, warmer, and diffrent colours.
Coraline meets her other mother for the first time.
The other mother looks nice and happy.
Coraline meets her other father for the first time.
The other room looks nice.
Pov-theother is contrloling the piano.
There is alot of light tthe dinning room looks bright.
The music is abit haunting.
The lightning makes the shape of the other mother's hand.
Coraline other rooms look's nice.
Theother parents tuck Coraline in to bed.
And now were back in the old ugly house.
Coraline meets MR Bobinsky.
Mr Bobinsky is a russin gymnastic champion.
The mice gives Coraline information.
The doll is the symbol of the other mother
Flowers a bright vibrant colours
Coraline goes back to her real parents
coraline looks for the key to the tunnel
The tunnel is bright and welcoming
The real cat follows coraline into the other world
The other  old lady's perfoms a musical to coraline and wybie and the other dogs.
The other mother changes her cloth
The other parnets go and pick up coraline.
The other mother ask's coraline to stay in the other world forever and put buttons in her eyes.
we wittnesed the first scary thing in the other world.
They used dark mysterious colours.
We get less and less of the real mother from the other mother
Coraline meets the other kids ghosts
The colour of the other house looks dark and scary
The tunnel has changed to a dark and ugly colour
The old lady's give coraline a tool that canhelp her find her parents.
The cat helps coraline find her parents
Coraline goes back to the other world to go save her parents
The other mother looks evil and scary
coraline asks to play a game with her other mother

Social Studies-Ta Moko

What have I learned? I learned a lot of things about Maori art and their different meanings. Ta Moko means a traditional tattoo to the face or body. Ta Moko is a core component of Maori culture an outward expression of commitment and respect.

Why I choose this design? I choose this design because it looks cool.

Charlotte's Web

   Charlotte's web theme- Friendship

We have just read and watched Charlotte's web and our teacher has told us to pick a theme and write about it. The theme I choose is friendship. In this story, I'm going to be talking about friendship and what it means to me. What does friendship mean to me? Friendship is a relationship of mutual affection between two people.


In the story, we witnessed Wilbur who was a lonely little pig just hanging by himself in his pigpen and Charlotte who was a friendly little spider. We witnessed a lot of things in the story about the two, they interacted with each other and we got to see when Charlotte saved Wilbur from getting killed by Mr. Zummerman. We all know how great of a friend Charlotte is and we all got to see the teamwork of the farm animals helping their dear friend out and saving him from being killed.

Wilbur being saved by Charlotte means a lot of things, they helped each other on their own journey and being there for each other. How I relate to this. I think I can relate to this because when I first moved to Hornby high I was lonely and shy because I didn't know anyone at the school, but then I started talking to some of my classmates and now we are very close mates.

Maths
